If you are ready, Jesus would love to have a personal relationship with you. Say this prayer with me so you can receive the Lord into your life and find true friendship.
Salvation Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to You acknowledging that I am a sinner and that I turn my back on the devil and his plans for my life. I repent and renounce all my sins, iniquities, trespasses, and transgressions. Father God in Heaven, I believe that Jesus is your son, and that he died on the cross for my sins, and that you raised him from the dead on the third day.
I ask you to forgive me, Lord, come into my life, and come into my heart. Heal me, deliver me, and restore my soul. I receive your son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and my Savior. Lord, I ask you to write my name in the Lamb’s book of Life, and I pray that you will never take it out.
Help me to turn from my sin and all forms of darkness so that I follow you wholeheartedly. Baptize me, Lord, with your Fire and the Holy Spirit to live a holy and victorious life for you.
Thank you for saving me, accepting me into the Kingdom of God, and giving me eternal life. It is in the name of Jesus Christ , my Lord and Savior that I pray, amen.
First, have a conversation with the Lord. Share your experiences with Him—both the good and the bad. Speak to Him as you would with a friend. Pray for him to reveal himself to you in a special way!
Make sure to have a Bible or access to one through an iOS or Android Bible app. Begin reading it daily, even if it’s just one scripture each day. Meditate on the Word of God Day and night, and pray continuously.
Find a church home, whether in-person or online. Get baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. Pray that you receive the ability to speak in tongues. Pray and ask God for guidance in selecting leaders and teachers. Be cautious when choosing a church—look for a Bible-believing, non-denominational congregation. Remember, Heaven does not have denominations; those exist on Earth due to people's reluctance to accept the Bible as the sole source of truth. Extra-biblical content can be useful as long as it aligns with Scripture.
Join a bible study, biblical podcast, a devotional, binge-watch gospel movies, documentaries, and learn as much as you can about the Lord. This will help you increase in wisdom, knowledge, and other spiritual gifts like discernment and spiritual discernment, which are two different gifts.
Examine yourself regularly and assess the fruits of your life to ensure they align with God’s Word. If they do not, that’s okay—it simply means you need to make adjustments. The Holy Spirit will guide you toward what is right and wrong, helping you prepare for a life with a Holy God in Heaven.
If you prayed that prayer, Welcome to the Kingdom of God!
We’re so glad you’ve decided to follow Jesus. He is the best decision you could ever make with your life, as it is one He gave you.
We recommend reading the Gospels of Jesus Christ to understand His ministry and the reason for His death—that is, to save you and from what. We would suggest starting with the Book of Matthew and reading through it as the Holy Spirit leads you. Additionally, we recommend beginning with Genesis to grasp the pre-history of the world and to learn how, why, and who created it. It’s a beautiful experience to be redeemed, restored, and reconciled to the Lord. Eternity is a long time to consider missing out on eternal life.
